Another illustration for the box art project, this time a profile view. The client supplied a built model for the reference and asked for a red scheme. Adobe Illustrator.

Marta
A pencil portrait. I wanted to capture a bit of a “renaissance” feel to this one as the pose is very regal. I will re-do this pose with an alternate background though before I determine which image to depict in colour with oil pastels. Marta too the shot herself and when I saw it I just had to depict it. Marta’s father was a gifted photographer and I think that Marta has inherited some of that talent.Pencil on Strathmore Paper. 9.75" x 13”
P-51 D Mustang Profile

His wife Joann drove it from Monaco to the Swiss Alps where the family lived, and to take their children to school. I will likely depict the larger version with markers and coloured pencil. 10.25" x 5.75"
New Christmas Ornament
Started another ornament today. Got one side complete, still one side to do.
Halifax Christmas
A small 8x10 acrylic on canvas depicting a Handley-Page Halifax. I visited the National Airforce Museum of Canada last year where they have a restored Halifax NA337. In the early morning of 24 April 1945, that Halifax crashed into Lake Mjøsa in Norway, killing five of the six aircrew on board. Years later, Tore Marsoe and his friend Rolf Liberg decided to locate the aircraft. In 1991, they found it in the lake at a depth of 750 feet (250 metres). The Halifax was eventually raised from Lake Mjøsa and brought back to Canada, where it took over ten years to restore it to its original glory. It is now proudly exhibited at the National Air Force Museum of Canada. There is also a beautiful volume telling it’s story.

VILLENEUVE
A rear view of Gilles Villeneuve in his Ferrari 312T. 40” x 30”, acrylic on Canvas. I will need to have it properly photographed, this is only a phone shot.
Long May You Run
A scene depicting a vintage International Transtar. I wanted to depict a somewhat romanticized image of long haul trucking from the past. I think that this scene gets it across, an independent of yesteryear hauling along a lonely desert highway at night when the temperature is a bit cooler. Gouache on board. 16” x 10.75"
